Open Thinkering

Comments policy

I love conversation and debate. Controversy is fine too. Personal attacks and obscenities, though, are out.

Here’s the ground rules:

  1. You’re allowed to disagree with me. Please be respectful to me and other people on the blog. Whilst I’ve got a thick skin, others may not (and I’ve a digital reputation to maintain…)
  2. I might delete your comments. You have the right to free speech. But on your blog, not mine. I probably delete (as opposed to mark as ‘spam’) about 5 comments a year who are usually trying to be sarcastic/ironic but end up defamatory/abusive/libellous.
  3. Your comments are yours. As I state in the footer, I disclaim any and all liability that may result from your comments. If you’re commenting here, you agree that what you post here is your own responsibility – absolving me from any and all liability that may result from those postings.
  4. I might use your comments elsewhere. I may use your comment in a presentation or text either on or offline. By commenting you agree to this (I will always credit and link if I use your words).

Overall, I’m trying to provoke interesting conversations here. I don’t want flamewars and hope that the above will help. 🙂
